The 2026 season featured some of the most dynamic ball movement DeeThreeLax has seen, with several teams turning unselfish play into elite offensive production.

Leading the nation was Washington & Lee, finishing the season with 273 total assists. The Generals’ balanced offensive attack consistently found the open man, helping produce one of the country’s most dangerous offenses while leading all of DeeThreeLax in assists. Close behind were Tufts (265), Pfeiffer (248), and Cortland (247), four programs that emphasized sharing the ball and making defenses pay for every mistake.

One of the biggest trends throughout the 2026 season was the rise of team-oriented offense. Rather than relying on one or two superstar scorers, many of the nation’s top teams built their success through quick passing, off-ball movement, and making the extra pass. The result was cleaner looks, higher shooting percentages, and some of the most efficient offenses in DeeThreeLax. 

Programs like Grove City, RIT, Hope, Stevens, Penn College, and York (PA) all eclipsed 215 assists, demonstrating just how dangerous balanced offensive systems can be. The nation’s leaders excelled at moving the ball with purpose, creating mismatches, and keeping defenses rotating until someone found an open look. Many of these same teams also ranked among the national leaders in scoring offense, proving that the best offenses aren’t always built around isolation, They’re built around teamwork. With nearly every national contender represented near the top of the rankings, it’s clear that sharing the ball remains one of the biggest keys to success in DeeThreeLax.
