8. 2005 – Salisbury Sea Gulls men’s lacrosse 11, Middlebury 10

For lacrosse purists, this was perfection. Two coaching giants  Jim Berkman and Erin Quinn  went head-to-head in a chess match between the era’s premier programs. Every possession mattered, every defensive stop felt monumental, and neither side gave an inch. Salisbury eventually survived by a single goal, completing an undefeated 20-0 season and further fueling one of the greatest rivalries the sport has ever seen.

7. 1982 – Hobart Statesmen men’s lacrosse 9, Washington College 8 (OT)

SUNY Cortland wasn’t supposed to win. But in front of a massive crowd in Philadelphia, the Red Dragons refused to fold.
