DeeThreeLax Take: Farmingdale State has won the last 2 Skyline conference championships and is looking to make it a 3 peat in 2026. They have a lot of fire power back in 2026, but they also have some important gaps they will need to fill up and down the field. The Skyline is a tough conference and a few teams year in and year out could take home the hardware in May. Until proven otherwise Farmingdale is the team to beat but it will not be an easy ride to a 3 peat in 2026.

DeeThreeLax Take: USMMA is coming off a very strong 2025 campaign that saw them in the Skyline championship game. Unfortunately, Farmingdale proved to be to much for USMMA last season. Good news is that its 2026 and were not living in the past any longer. USMMA returns almost the entire core group from last year’s Skyline championship appearance. This is going to be a tough group to beat in 2026. They are one of the top contenders for the Skyline championship this season. If they play their style of lacrosse and control the controllables there is no reason this team is not holding the Skyline Title at the end of the season.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“We are a young team; We have been able to fill in the spots that Tomich and Reilly left behind. Hannaford Uzakewicz Combo can be just as good at the attack position. Everyone on Defense is coming back. Junior Cristian Scaffaro is expected to be the starting goalie.”
DeeThreeLax Take: SUNY Maritime is always in the Mix within the Skyline and not that long enough they were holding the Skyline Tournament title. I think given the production that Maritime has back they could easily once again be holding the conference title. The big question for them this season will be how quickly can the new guys get going. If they find their rhythm early and build momentum going into Skyline action this team could very well be your Skyline champion once again.
UMSV

Head Coach: James Fitzgerald
2025 Overall Record: 5–10
2025 Conference Record: 2–5
“While the record doesn’t reflect our internal progress, last season was an important developmental year for a young roster that was forced to play significant minutes early. The experience gained will pay dividends in 2026.”
Key Losses:
- Rene Alamo – Midfield – Do it all Midfeilder and emotional leader
- Ryan Jean Pahrun – Midfield – Offesnive Midfielder and key contributor
“We lose two important pieces, particularly Rene, who did a little bit of everything for us and set the standard for how we want to play.”
Key Returners:
- Isaac Parsons – Attack – Primary score threat
- Nigel Walker – Attack – Starting attackman and play maker
- Chai Dunlap – Midfield – offensive midfilder and match up problem
- Donte Thornhill – Midfield – Defensive anchor in the midfield
- Walker Moore – Defense – Starting close defender
- Brandon Mestres – Defense – Key Defender and physical presense
- Alfred Lamptey – FOGO – Set School record for GBS

Impact Newcomers
- Thomas Valley – Attack / Midfield
- Thaddeus Harris – Midfield
- Cal Denier – Midfield
“This is the most talented and deepest recruiting class we’ve brought in during my time here, and several of these guys will contribute right away.”
Games That Will Test This Team Early:

Internal Goals for the Season:
☑ Conference Tournament
☐ Conference Championship
☐ NCAA Tournament
☐ NCAA Tournament Win
☑ Program Best Season
Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“This is a young, hungry group that’s been forged by playing a lot of meaningful minutes earlier in their careers than most teams. We’re bigger, deeper, faster, and more competitive than we’ve been in years, and the culture and expectations inside our locker room have taken a real step forward.”
DeeThreeLax Take: I think that UMSV will be the surprise of the Skyline in 2026. They have a ton of guys back who saw impactful minutes last year and gained a ton of experience. I expect that this group will put together an improved season in 2026 as well as find themselves competing for a spot in the Skyline Tournament down the stretch of the season.

- Kenny Leen – Goalie – 188 Saves, 55% Save Percentage
Games that will test this team early:
- FDU
- SUNY Delhi
- New Paltz
DeeThreeLax Take: The Knights of Mount Saint Mary look to rebound in 2026. Like many teams in the Skyline, they return a veteran defense which should help slow down opposing Skyline offenses and keep them in games. On the other end of the field the Knights will need to fill some gaps that were lost in the off season. If the knights and figure out the offense this team should have a good shot at competing for a spot in the Skyline tournament at the end of the season.

- Joe Ulzheimer – Goalie – 201 Saves
Games that will test this team early:
- St. Joesphs CT
- FDU

DeeThreeLax Take: Strong defensive unit back for Manhattanville, but did lose a good amount on offense. They should be able to stay in games with all Skyline Opponents but will need to get the offense going to make sure they set themselves up for a solid season. With the strong defensive unit back for Manhattanville this group should have a good chance to work their way into the Skyline tournament at the end of the season once again.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Year two of this coaching staff. Program that is building from the ground up. A very tight knit group that is hungry to improve everyday and is going to do everything they can to be successful.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Coach Knote looks to continue building out a solid program at St. Josephs. They have a strong returning cast in 2026 and look to be added a lot of new comers who will make immediate impact for this squad and didn’t lose a ton in the off season. I like where this team is headed and think they will see an improved 2026 season and will be fighting for a Skyline tournament appearance.
Purchase

Head Coach: Jake Fitzgerald
2025 Overall Record: 3-12
2025 Conference Record: 0-7
Key losses:
- Zach Collins – Attack – 29 Goals, 8 Assists, 37 Points
Key Returners:
- Kevon Joseph 21 Goals, 7 Assists, 28 Points

- Brendon Truex – Defense – 21 CTs, 33 GBs, 1 Point
Games that will test this team early:
- Centenary
- Albertus Magnus

- MCLA
DeeThreeLax Take: Purchase enters 2026 focused on taking tangible steps forward after a challenging 2025 campaign. With a more experienced roster, the emphasis will be on improved offensive consistency and competing deeper into games against Skyline opponents. If the Panthers can clean up defensive lapses and generate more sustained scoring, they have a chance to turn close games into progress this spring. The goal this season is clear, be more competitive in conference play and show measurable growth week to week.
