Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:

“We are young, graduating 13 seniors, and we are gritty”

DeeThreeLax Take: Albion enters 2026 coming off a championship season, but with a new look after graduating a large senior class. Even with key losses, the Britons return a strong core across all three phases, including proven leadership in the midfield, a steady presence in goal, and experience on defense. A handful of impact newcomers should be asked to contribute early as this group finds its identity. If the youth grows up quickly, Albion has the grit and depth to remain a factor in the MIAA and push for another postseason run.

  • Denison

Program Goals for 2026:

  • Compete for and advance in the MIAA Conference Tournament
  • Challenge for the MIAA Championship
  • Continue building toward an NCAA Tournament appearance
  • Build upon the most successful season in over a decade

“Adrian College Lacrosse enters the 2026 season with strong momentum following a historic 2025 campaign. While we graduated record-setting leaders, the return of multiple All-Conference performers, combined with improved depth and continued program growth, positions us to remain a highly competitive program within the MIAA.”

DeeThreeLax Take: Adrian coming off a huge season in 2025, and will look to continue to momentum in 2026. This season they will be without some of the best players in program history but this is a team that continues to get better year in and year out. They don’t shy away from tough out of conference match ups to get them ready for MIAA action. Adrian will once again be in the mix for the MIAA title and if they can get hot going into the MIAA tournament there is no telling how far they could go.

DeeThreeLax Take: Calvin will look to bounce back from a 6-10 overall record in 2025. They have plenty of impact returners to thelp this team put together an improved season and compete at a high level in the MIAA. Both ends of the field will need to fill a few missing pieces that they lost in the off season but overall the outlook for Calvin in 2026 should be good. They have a strong out of conference schedule early in the season to get them ready for MIAA Action. Keep an eye on this group as they enter the MIAA tournament come May. They could find themselves being the dark horse.

  • Collin Custer – Midfielder

Everyone in the MIAA is challenging. The conference has gotten tighter and tighter over the years and this year it will be the most challenging April we’ve ever had.

Games That Will Test This Team Early:

  • Wittenberg,
  • Ohio Northern,
  • Otterbein, Oberlin,
  • Capital

“All extremely difficult games spread throughout February and March that should help with the gauntlet that is the conference season. Everyone in the MIAA is challenging. The conference has gotten tighter and tighter over the years and this year it will be the most challenging April we’ve ever had.”

DeeThreeLax Take: Trine enters 2026 coming off another strong overall season, but with the clear understanding that success in the MIAA requires navigating one of the toughest conference slates in DeeThreeLax. With key departures across the field, depth and development will be early storylines for Trine A demanding non-conference schedule should have this group battle-tested before conference play ramps up. If Trine can carry that momentum into April, they have the experience and culture to stay competitive in an increasingly tight MIAA race.

Kalamazoo

Head Coach: Vince Redko

2025 Overall Record: 6-8

2025 Conference Record: 1-5

  • Logan Gillis – Attack – 22 Goals, 23 Assists, 45 Points

  • Charles Graves – Goalie – 85 Saves

Games that will test this team early:

  • Concordia
  • Southwestern
  • Transylvania
  • Carthage

DeeThreeLax Take: Kalamazoo has a strong returning cast on the defensive side of the field. The defense should be able to keep them in most games and help them compete in MIAA action. They did lose a good amount on offense and they will need to answer that in 2026. Look out for a lot of new names and younger classmen to make an impact on offense and help propel this group in MIAA action.

Alma

Head Coach: Zach Cameron

2025 Overall Record: 7-7

2025 Conference Record: 0-6

Key Losses:

  • Kevin Koenn – Attack – 17 Goals, 33 Assists, 50 Points
  • MJ Humphreys – Midfield – 36 Goals, 5 Assists, 41 Points
  • Dylan Smith – Midfield – 25 Goals, 7 Assists , 32 Points
  • Cole Pearson – Midfield – 15 CTs, 40 GBs, 13 Points

Key Returners:

  • Patrick Hodges – Defense – 22 CTs, 46 GBs
  • Connor Cracium – Defense – 12 CTs, 14 GBs
  • Preston Stelljes – Goalie – 160 Saves

Games that will test this team early:

  • Lawerence
  • Beloit
  • Hanover

DeeThreeLax Take: Alma will need to reload the offense in 2026, as they lost their top 4 point leaders from a season ago. That will be the biggest question mark for this group. The defense looks to be in pretty good shape returning most of the impact players down low from last season. If this group is going to turn the corner in 2026 and find some wins the MIAA its going to be led by the defense in tight low scoring games.
