DeeThreeLax: Washington & Lee returns another stacked team coming in 2026. The biggest gaps for the Generals this season is going to be on the offensive front as they need to replace strong production that Burns, Allen, and Elliott all dished out last season. Goal remains the same every year for W&L win the ODAC and win the National Championship. Is 2026 going to be a year that we see W&L make a deep run in the NCAA tournament?

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Lynchburg always has a goal to win the ODAC and have done that 10x in program history and have played for the ODAC Championship every year since 2014… Program has a goal of winning it’s 1st National Championship in school history. Played for it in 2015. Very close team and program…incredibly strong Alumni base. We give back to our community and the guys excel in the classroom- highest fall GPA in school history in Fall of 2025.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Lynchburg comes into 2026 fired up and ready to get after it this season after unfinished business with coming up just short in the ODAC title game and the Round of 16 in the NCAA tournament. They have some losses that they will need to make up for but overall the Hornets return a deep team that will look to control pace and pressure opponents. Lynchburg has plenty of challenging games to start the season with a tough slate of national power houses. Those games should help them build momentum heading into ODAC play and have them primed and ready to run with Washington & Lee. There is not doubt that this Lynchburg team could be holding the ODAC title at the end of the season, but it is up to them if they get it done or now in 2026.

Games that will test this team early:

DeeThreeLax Take: Coach Zimmerman enters his first at the helm of Roanoke, taking over a historic coaching career of Bill Pilat. Pilat racked up over 400 wins during his coaching career that lands hime 5thoverall among DeeThree Coaches. Pilat coached countless All Americans, 10+ ODAC Championships, and 15+ NCAA Tournament appearances. Needless to say Zimmerman has some big shoes to fill in Roanoke. The Maroons will be without their top 3 point leaders from a season ago which will be the biggest area of focus this season. Overall Roanoke returns a strong group and should be able to hang around with the top of the ODAC. If Zimmerman can find the right pieces for the losses of Kammerman, Whitlow, and Docking this team should be a contender once again.
Randolph Macon

- Brodie Kent – LSM – 28 CTs, 79 GBs, 6 Points
Games that will test this team early:
- Sewanee
- CNU
- St. Mary’s
DeeThreeLax Take: Randolph-Macon heads into 2026 with a clear strength in the middle of the field, where multiple proven midfielders return to drive offense and tempo. Replacing leadership in goal will be the early question, especially against a demanding opening slate. This feels like a team that will be comfortable playing physical, possession-heavy games as the season develops. The Yellow Jackets have plenty of firepower on both ends of the field and have the tools to remain a factor in conference play.
Hampden Sydney

Head Coach: Jason Rostan

- Tyler Steele – Defense – 24 CTs, 52 GBs, 3 Points
- Will Palmer – Goalie – 146 Saves
Games that will test this team early:
- CNU
- St. Lawrence
- York
DeeThreeLax Take: Hampden Sydney comes into 2025 after another strong season in 2025 that saw another 10+ win season with another trip to the ODAC Tournament. The Tigers looked to be a relatively young team last season and will look to build on the experience that was built. They do have a few large pieces that the Tigers will need to backfill from a season ago, mainly on the defensive side of the field. Overall I like Hampden Sydney a lot in 2026 I think they are going to close the gap with teams like Lynchburg and Washington and Lee and push their way up in the ODAC.
Shenandoah

Head Coach: Tim Marshall

- Mark Isabelle – Goalie – 262 Saves, 56% Save Percentage
Key Returners:
- Jake Green – Midfield – 21 Goals, 15 Assists, 36 Points
- Cody Griffis – Midifield – 28 Goals, 5 Assists, 33 Points
- Dylan Taylor – Midfield – 14 Goals, 10 Assists, 24 Points
- Hunter Snow – Defense – 10 CTs, 9 GBs
Games that will test this team early:
- Hood
- Widener
- Marymount
DeeThreeLax Take: Shenandoah comes into the 2026 season after a solid 2025 season where they went 4-6 in ODAC action which was enough for them to land a trip to the ODAC tournament. IN the tournament they made it to the quarterfinals after besting Virginia Wesleyan, ultimately falling in the quarterfinals to Roanoke. The Hornets looks to be in a rebuilding phase especially on the defensive end of the field where they lost a strong presence goal along with a physical defensive unit in front. They will need to fill the gaps across the field this season but I do believe they should be once again fighting for a trip to the ODAC tournament.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“After a few down years, team and leaders are ready to flip the script and get back to where this team knows they can go and what they can achieve.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Bridgewater heads into 2026 ready to turn the tide and get back on the track this program should be on. The Eagles bring back a solid offensive core and a goalie that helps anchor the back end. A wave of first-year contributors should be asked to make an impact early, especially on offense and in transition. If Bridgewater’s leadership sets the tone and the new pieces settle in quickly, this feels like a team positioned to take meaningful steps forward in the ODAC this season.
VWU

Head Coach: Sam Jones
2025 Overall Record: 7-11
2025 Conference Record: 4-6
Key Losses:
- Parker Lucas, M, Team Captain
Key Returners:
- Liam Murphy, SSDM
- Cole Spencer, D, Captain, Start on D

- Jr. (Transfer), Tommy Lewis, A,- Experienced player on a young team looking to turn around our offensive production from last year.
Games That Will Test This Team Early:
- Southern Virginia University
- Methodist
DeeThreeLax Take: VWU heads into 2026 with a group that looks ready to find its footing and carve out an identity. The Marlins return leadership on the defensive end and a proven scoring option, while adding versatility through newcomers who can be used in multiple spots. Early games should give a quick sense of how the pieces fit together. If VWU can get things going offensively, this team has the tools to be more competitive as the season unfolds.
Guildford

Head Coach: Dylan Neisler (1st Sesason)
2025 Overall Record: 5-13
2025 Conference Record: 3-7
Key Losses:
- Wyatt Dwyer Defense 3 time all conference player
Key Returners:
- Darius Safavi – Abbassi / Goalie / Senior / Might be our best player this year
Impact Newcomers (First-years, transfers, returns from injury)

Games That Will Test This Team Early:
- Greensboro college
Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Guilford Lacrosse is going to build itself back into a destination school for lacrosse and academics. Right now we are at the start of a multi year journey, but we will build a roster and a culture our alums and school can be proud of. Get us now because we are going to improve.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Guilford enters 2026 at the very beginning of a rebuild under a new staff, and this season is about laying the groundwork more than chasing results. They will look to rebuild the roster and have the key pieces take shape to help build consistency. For Guildford this spring is about taking a step forward to become stronger, learning, and establishing the Guilford Standard.
Averett

Head Coach: Bryan Habick
2025 Overall Record: 4-13
2025 Conference Record: 1-9
Key Losses:

- Giovanni D’Amico – Defense – 24 CTs, 44 GBs, 2 Points
- Casey Peterson – Defense – 15 CTs, 26 GBs
- Connor Boyd – Defense – 12 CTs, 48 GBs, 10 Points
- Robbie Isenhour – Goalie – 253 Saves, 50% Save Percentage
Games that will test this team early:
- William Peace
- Hiram
- Marietta
DeeThreeLax: Averett heads into 2026 looking to flip the script after a tough season, with an edge built around defense and toughness. The Cougars return a physical back end and a high-volume goalie who should keep them in games, even as the offense retools. Early matchups will be a good gauge for how quickly this group finds its rhythm. If Averett can get consistent scoring support and continue to compete defensively, they have a chance to make games uncomfortable for opponents this spring.
Randolph College

Head Coach: Andy Sinclair
2025 Overall Record: 1-16
2025 Conference Record: 0-10
Key Losses:
- Leyton Brightly – Midfield – 30 Goals, 16 Assists, 46 Points

- Gavin Maple – Defense – 12 CTs, 20 GBs
- Shane Smith – Defense – 9 CTs, 25 GBs, 2 Points
- Britton Malcolm – Defense – 9 CTs, 29 GBs, 1 Point
- Ross Kalon – Defense – 7 CTs, 20 GBs
- Parker Eastman – Defense – 6 CTs, 19 GBs
Games that will test this team early:
- Brevard
- Spalding
- Hiram
- Averett
DeeThreeLax Take: Randolph College enters the 2026 Campaign without their 3 top point leaders from a season ago. They will be in a rebuilding mode on offense, but the bright spot for Randolph is that they return a strong defensive unit. The Defense will lead this team and do what they can to help keep games tight. Randolph College does have some early season matchups that they do well in. The Wildcats will look to build momentum early and take it into ODAC play and do what they can to compete in the ODAC.
