Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Took part in Bike to The Beach—a 100-mile bike ride to raise funds and awareness for our local autism and disability organizations…. Junior class studied abroad this fall—Florence and Barcelona…. Great assistant coaches in Devin Newell (5th year) and Kyle Hayes 91st year)… Ready to have a great day every day! Play hard; Be good people. The score takes care of itself. “
DeeThreeLax take: Babson comes into 2026 ready to run it back in the NEWMAC. Last season they claimed another NEWMAC title and went to the Second Round of the NCAA tournament. The Focus for this season will be to Win the NEWMAC and continue pushing deeper into the NCAA tournament. While they have some key losses from last years team they have plenty of key returners as well as new impact players included D1 transfers and D3 standout transfers. No doubt Babson will have some tough competition from NEWMAC Foes but this group looks primed for another NEWMAC title if they can stay disciplined and play their game.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Coach Bugbee retired after a 42 year historic coaching career at Springfield College.”
DeeThreeLax Take: New leadership at the helm for Springfield after a historic 42 year run by Coach Bugbee that saw endless records, All Americans, National Championships, and so much more. I think Springfield picked the right guy in Coach Quirk, someone that played for Bugbee and embodies that same mentality. Not to mention Quirk has had an outstanding coaching and playing career of his own, I think he will do just fine guiding Springfield. For the 2026 outlook Springfield looks to build off what they start last year which almost got them a NEWMAC title and a trip to the NCAA tournament. Plenty of fire power back to go head to head with Babson and try to claim the NEWMAC title in 2026.

DeeThreeLax Take: MIT enters 2026 coming off a solid conference season and returns a strong offensive core that should keep pressure on opponents. While there are some key losses on the defensive end, the amount of production back in the midfield and at attack gives this team a lot of opportunity. A tough early slate will be a good measuring stick and should help sharpen things before conference play ramps up. If the defense settles in and the offense continues to click, MIT has the makeup to be right back in the conferenceconversation.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Strong momentum from 2025 and 3.5 team GPA. 13 seniors including our Sr. Student Coach & 9 home games in 2026.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Salve Regina enters 2026 with real momentum and one of the most veteran-led rosters in the NEWMAC. The Seahawks bring back elite offensive leadership, experience at the faceoff X, and multiple senior captains who give this group a strong identity and edge. An influx of defensive talent and transfers adds depth to a team that already knows how to win close games. With seven home games and a confident senior core, Salve looks primed to make a serious push in the NEWMAC and be a tough out all spring.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“Talented quality squad with depth at Midfield and FOGO. Still young but should be in upper half of league less any major injuries. We are a National Service Academy developing the next leaders of the Coast Guard via the challenge of Team sports. A leadership lab in a sense. Our process works and our graduates are simply amazing.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Coast Guard heads into 2026 with a young but talented group that looks built to compete every game in the NEWMAC. The Bears return impact players on offense and the faceoff X, giving them control over pace and possessions. Early tests against strong opponents should help get them ready for NEWMAC action. Coast Guard’s depth and discipline should help me show up each day. This team is capable of finishing in the upper half of the league and making a run in the NEWMAC Tournament.

DeeThreeLax Take: Clark heads into 2026 with a much different look after graduating the core of last year’s team. There are a lot of new roles to be filled, so the early part of the season will be about seeing who steps up and how this group fits together. A tough early schedule should speed up that learning curve. If the Cougars can find some consistency and grow into the season, this could be a year of growth in the NEWMAC.

Anything You Feel the Lacrosse Community Should Know About This Team:
“We had a great fall and off season and games will be tight as usual and we will be ready for it in 2026.”
DeeThreeLax Take: Wheaton heads into 2026 feeling confident after a strong fall and offseason, and this group looks like it’s built to play in a lot of close games again. The Lyons bring back plenty of scoring up front and should be able to put pressure on defenses all spring. With a wave of new midfield and defensive pieces, the early weeks will be about finding the right combinations. If Wheaton’s offense clicks and the back end settles in, this team has the build to be tough and give NEWMAC foes a challenge.

2025 Conference Record: 0-7

- Charlie van Beuren – Defense – 14 CTs, 33 GBs
Games that will test this team early:
- Wentworth
- Universty of Saint Joseph

DeeThreelax Take: Emerson heads into 2026 with a focus on competing harder each week. After graduating its top scoring options, this season will be about establishing new offensive roles and leaning on a defense that returns some physical, experienced pieces. Early games should give a clear sense of how quickly this group is coming together. If Emerson can find reliable scoring and keep games tight, the Lions can start laying the groundwork for future progress.
