The PLL season is officially underway, and so is our DTL to PLL Tracker, where we’ll be following a handful of DeeThreeLax legends as they take the field with the pros this summer.
Here’s how our DeeThreeLax alumni fared in the second weekend of PLL action:
Cross Ferrara (Chaos LC)
The Salisbury GOAT got right to work in this weekend, appearing in both Chaos games and finding the back of the net in each.
- 6/6 vs Outlaws: 1G | 6 Shots | 3 SOG
- 6/7 vs Redwoods: 1G | 2 Shots | 2 SOG
- Weekend Avg: 1.0 GPG | 28.9% SOG | 16.7% Shooting
Ferrara showed confidence dodging and wasn’t afraid to pull the trigger, exactly what you’d expect from a player who scored 400+ goals in college. His off-ball movement looked solid, and as he adjusts to the PLL speed, expect that shot percentage to rise.
Matt Whitcher (Archers LC)
The York Swiss Army Knife logged his first PLL action of the year, picking up a pair of ground balls in Archers win over the Whipsnakes.
- 6/6 vs Whipsnakes: 0 PTS | 2 GBs | 7 Touches
Whitcher didn’t record a shot or point, but his hustle and energy in the middle of the field gave Cannons valuable depth on both ends.
🪨 Eli Gobrecht (Waterdogs LC)
One of the few DeeThreeLax vets still anchoring a PLL defense, Gobrecht suited up for the Waterdogs in a tough battle with Atlas.
- 6/6 vs Whipsnakes: 1 Touch | 0 Stats Logged
The veteran from Ithaca College didn’t show up on the stat sheet, but his presence in the defensive unit always brings a steadying influence.
Did Not Play (DNP)
A few of our DeeThreeLax pros were inactive this weekend, either due to roster decisions or injury:
- John DeFazio (Salisbury) – DNP
- Matthew Paolatto (Union/Rutgers) – DNP
- Michael Grace (RIT/Sayracuse) – DNP (Injured list)
We’ll keep an eye on these guys as rosters rotate and injuries heal. All three have the talent to contribute when called upon.
Looking Ahead
Week 3 of PLL action will bring new matchups, and hopefully more opportunities for our DeeThreeLax alums to shine. We’ll be tracking every stat, every shift, and every moment of DeeThreeLax excellence at the pro level.
